The Poetry Quandary - Win a Post!

1 min read

I love poetry. I genuinely feel like it's Teresa speak. My thoughts are always short, in fragments. In a poem I can purge my emotional bits in a lyrical way that disrupts no one but me. Because they are a word puke just for me. You would never guess what I'm talking about in this one! Drop me a note if you think you know. Winner gets a ticket to a single blog post on my site. (Read the fine print below.)

Spinning around, you take me in circles

never when I expect it

I hear the creepy birds singing in and out

I almost fall to my knees

I grab my head searching for the why

but nothing comes to me

You have complete control, you know it

Can't defeat unseen enemies

Swirling about I just want out of the loop

but you've trapped me

Even at home you wield your power over me

For peace, I crash into the chair and I'm diving

into the deep churn

Leave me alone! Go away I don't want you

I open my eyes to you

If only I could relent to the whirlpool hug

I'd be golden but no

You win, with your strong arm you collapse me

Down I go again, the end
