Reemergence

Recently William Shatner came into view in the entertainment industry. I love to watch an actor or actress who fell off the grid, gain some traction and reinvent themselves. I think it's much like a bird in flight. I watched a hawk the other day and he kept adjusting the angle of his wings. According to learnbirdwatching.com, he did that to optimize the lift-to-drag ratio enabling him to fly a longer distance with less effort.

In other words, he kept fighting the elements to keep flying with ease. And he made any adjustments necessary to stay in flight and improve his experience. Same with artists who experienced success in an area and then disappeared. They have to fight their way back. Accepting small roles, until they finally reemerge in their area of specialty.
A great success story can be a second-time-around story. Where a person trudges on in their chosen area even when it feels like they aren't gaining any ground. But they don't stop. They don't quit. They don't give up because their passion overrides their fears.
Whether it's in a career, a relationship, a creative path, whatever...some things in life are worth the fight! Not everything in life is easy. I heard an inspiring story recently about a young woman in my circle who doesn't have the IQ for college. College staff members are literally trying to talk her out of enrolling. This young woman is pushing back because she has her mind set that she is going and she will succeed. How often do you see grit like that?
Let her tenacity be your inspiration today for that thing you think you want but don't know if you're able to get it. Try anyway and YOU be the next success story :-) When you achieve it, let me know because I would love to tell your story!
