Heartbreak Hall of Fame

What if we could make it a thing? Build a Heartbreak Hall of Fame. In this life people with certain skills are celebrated, right? Pulitzer Prize for writers. Oscars for actors. Grammy Awards for musicians.

How about a little something for folks who know how to lose love...without even knowing they're doing it. As I've matured so has my level of love losing. Somehow I've managed to up the ante and find a greater loss than the one before. At least something is improving, I guess.

I always think I'll do better next time. Tell myself the other person wasn't right. Or, the timing wasn't right. It's definitely NOT me though because I try so hard to NOT be that person. Apparently, I've been wrong all these years. Wait for it...I must be the problem!

Love is such a powerful loss, too. It brings depression, loneliness, tears, hopelessness and for some suicidal thoughts. Maybe it's time to turn it around. Make it a positive. The greatest loser in love can win a chance to be celebrated in the Heartbreak Hall of Fame! I would be the first one to submit my resume :-( Sometimes I just need a win, even if it comes at the expense of my heart...sigh.
