Golden Light Has Taken Flight

The day we met you, you stood out. That golden tail wagging with oomph! It was almost as if you smiled at us as you stretched out to reach up and kiss us. You were special and we knew it. The one who claimed you was special too and you knew that.

The way you clung to him all day every day. Trailing every footstep so you weren't separated. There was no doubt in any of our minds that you were rescued from your living situation. And oh did you show the gratitude!

Every morsel of food specially prepared was like a diamond to you. Every treat. Every daily walk. Every food share was like a ray of sunshine in your little world.

We will always miss you greeting us at the door. Jumping on our laps and licking us to death. A being with such a bright light like yours could only be headed to one place. That's where we will see you again. I believe you're so special I may see you curled up and cuddling in the lap of Jesus. What a sight to see! Keep shining golden light, pain free, and healed. We love you little fella and will not forget you in this lifetime or the next.
